Nine days out from the Reality Fracture prerelease, Wizards dropped a second, bigger delay notice — and this one touches nearly every region on the map. If you’ve preordered anything for the most exciting set of the year, this is your dad-nudge to make a phone call. Here’s what’s actually late, what isn’t, and what to do about it.

The Good News First

The things that matter most for playing are fine. Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are on schedule in every region for the September 25 prerelease and the October 2 release. If your plan was "go to the prerelease, open a kit, have fun" — my plan, with the eight-year-old in tow — nothing has changed. Breathe.

Wizards had already warned that North American Play Booster supply might run tight after release, so if you were planning to grab a box in the first week, the earlier-the-better advice stands.

What’s Actually Late, by Region

The September 11 update widened the picture considerably, citing "delays in production and shipping" without much more detail. The rough breakdown:

North America: Play Boosters may be tight after release, and the single-blister Omega Collector Boosters sold at big-box retailers are delayed.

Asia-Pacific: Collector Boosters, Bundles, and the Reality Fracture Commander decks are delayed and may arrive after the set’s release. (The Foundations Commander decks shipping alongside are not affected.)

Europe, Middle East, and Africa: Collector Boosters delayed with tight availability through release, and the Secret Lair Bundle may not land until after October 23.

Japan: The lone region currently reporting everything on schedule. Lucky.

So if you preordered a Bundle, Collector Boosters, the four-color Commander precon, or that "What If" Secret Lair Bundle, your box might show up days or weeks after everyone’s already playing.

The Dad To-Do List

Three simple moves. First, contact your LGS or online retailer about any Reality Fracture preorder beyond Play Boosters — ask if your stock is guaranteed for launch. Stores are getting their allocations sorted right now, and the ones who ask first get the clearest answers. Second, if your heart was set on the Commander precon for launch weekend in an affected region, have a backup plan — a prerelease kit, or one of the Foundations Commander decks, will keep you playing. Third, and this is the important one for families: don’t panic-buy from scalpers who will absolutely use "delayed" as a lever to mark things up. Delayed means late, not gone. Every one of these products is still coming.

My honest read: a supply hiccup on a beloved in-universe set is annoying, but it’s a logistics story, not a quality story. The cards are the cards. Play the prerelease on time, let the fancy product trickle in, and we’ll all be in the Echoverse together by mid-October. Patience is a dad’s most reprinted card, friends.
